What is the Legal Requirement?
The employer must provide adequate information, instruction and training for employees, see The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. The Rider Operated Forklift Truck Approved Code of Practice 1999 requires training to be provided, this should encompass basic training, specific jobtraining and familiarisation training.
Course Objectives
This course is suitable for novice operators or personnel with little or no experience. Where upon completion they will receive certification to recognised standards and if required their names entered on a national register.
