What is the Legal Requirement?

It is a mandatory duty for employees to carry out COSHH assessments in their workplace and bring the relevant findings to the attention of employees. Where possible hazardous substances should be eliminated, substituted or different methods used. Where applicable Health Surveillance of employees must be carried out.

All persons who use, handle, store or dispose of hazardous substances in the workplace.

  • Obligations and Duties of Employers/Employees
  • Controls for Hazardous Substances
  • Use of Personnel Protective Equipment
  • Practical Assessment

Course Aims

To provide delegates with sufficient information to be able to evaluate the hazards associated with the substances and processes in their workplace and to be able to understand material Health and Safety data sheets and their statutory duty whilst using such substances.

Duration: Half day.

Location

The course can be carried out at our Wymondham Training Centre or at your company premises if required.
