Emergency First Aid at Work (1 Day)

Emergency First Aid at Work is a new 1-day course which is being introduced on 1st October 2009. This course can only be offered by HSE approved training organisations such as Milne Marketing Ltd and is designed for small to medium sized businesses, or those with a slightly lower element of risk.
Course Objectives
During the course, the following elements will be covered:-
- understand the role of the first aider including reference to the use of available equipment and the need for recording incidents and actions
- understand the importance of basic hygiene in first-aid procedures
- assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
- administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious and/or in seizure
- administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding and/or in shock
- administer first aid to a casualty who is choking
EFAW courses should contain at least six contact hours. Trainers should use continuous assessment to evaluate candidates. There is no final practical assessment.
Certificate will be issued for 3 years with delegates expected to attend a 3 hour Annual Skills refresher course
Duration of Course: 1 Day Session
This course can be carried out at on your site for up to 10 delegates per session or at Milne Marketing.

At Milne Marketing £65.00 plus VAT per delegate for 1 day
At your site £600.00 plus VAT per session, max 10 delegates (premises must be suitable)
