Annual Refresher
Who would benefit from this course?
Employees who have attended either the 3 Day First Aid at Work Course or the Emergency First Aid at Work Course only.
Course Outline
During the course, the following elements will be covered:-
- Assess the situation in an emergency
- Administer 1st aid to a casualty who is unconscious and/or in a seizure
- Administer CPR
- Administer 1st aid to a casualty who is wounded or bleeding
- Sign, Symptoms and Treatment for Shock
- 1st aid updates or changes to 1st aid procedures
EFAW courses should contain at least three contact hours. Trainers should use continuous assessment to evaluate candidates. There is no final practical assessment.
