Who would benefit from the course?

Employees who need to renew a valid First Aid at Work Certificate to comply with HSE requirements.

To ensure that the delegates have a broad knowledge of First Aid and are Competent at treating casualties. Certificate lasts for Three years.

Important

Students whose certificate is out of date will not be accepted and will have to retake the 3-Day First Aid at Work Course.

Course Outline

• During the course, the following elements will be covered:-
• Priorities of First Aid
• CPR
• The Unconscious casualty
• Dealing with bleeding and shock
• Burns and scalds
• Eye injuries
• Poisoning Infection control
• Record keeping and accident reporting

Duration of Course: 2 Days
The duration of this course will not be affected by the changes announced by the HSE which come into effect in October 2009.

The course aims to update and refresh your knowledge of the First aid at work syllabus, while allowing time for revision and practice sessions in preparation for a final assessment.

Cost

This course can be carried out at your site for up to 10 delegates per session or at Milne Marketing.
